BPM delivers the 100th XDCAM HD
BPM Broadcast & Professional Media GmbH has delivered the 100th camcorder of the Sony XDCAM HD422 model. The “anniversary model” was a PDW-700 and was handed over to the company Video Motion Fernsehproduktion (TV production) from Hamburg. The company’s president, Svea Andersson, took the new equipment personally and was both pleased and surprised.
„We have never experienced such a rapid and successful market launch of a new broadcast production format,“ states Heinrich Buhr, president of BPM Broadcast & Professional Media GmbH.
„Within a very short time, XDCAM HD has become the new quasi standard in German broadcast production. Since its market launch in September 2008, BPM has sold more than 100 camcorders from the XDCAM HD422 family. With over 90 items, PDW-700 is the clear success model and the new workhorse of the industry. We were even able to sell the first used PDW-700“ remarks Buhr further.
„With the format and the products of the XDCAM HD422 family, Sony has precisely met the demands of the industry. Apart from the basic format decisions made by the broadcasters, BPM was instrumental in the success and the proliferation of XDCAM HD422 products,“ adds Frank M.
