The Blackmagic Tripod kit is built around our Mini Baseplate. The kit includes 15mm threaded 12” and 4.5” rod extensions running straight through the plate. The baseplate has side to side and up and down adjustments which enables your camera to align with various follow focus or matte box units.
This kit also includes a Horizontal Zwiss plate ‘cheeseplate’ mounted at the back of the rods where you can mount a V-mount or 3-stud/gold mount batteries, articulating arms, wireless plate and much more. The rig is capped off with our Blackmagic Top Handle. Attached to your camera with a 5”Z-rail the handle can quick release on and off and slide and flip for balance. Perfect for quick carry on and off a tripod or to attach lightweight accessories like a light or shotgun mic when combined with a Z-release. The Blackmagic Tripod kit is lean, clean and ready to be accessorized.
This rig is a simple tripod rig that is ready to be accessorized! It starts with the Mini Baseplate with 12” rods and then adds the Horizontal Zwiss Plate where you can mount your v-mount or 3-stud/gold mount batteries, articulating arms for monitors, wireless plates and much more. With this kit, you can start with the basics and add whatever accessories you need to make the kit work for you. The rods are standard 15mm lightweight spacing so they can accept any 15mm lightweight follow focus and matte box.
