Features
Personal microphones, also known as Lavalier or `tie-pin´ mics, are designed for use in radio or TV interview situations or for presenter pieces to camera, and are often fitted to the clothing of the interviewee or presenter. In a TV studio, little else is required, but if the interview is taking place outdoors, the microphone will need some kind of windshielding.
Rycote make a range of personal microphone windshielding solutions for all outdoor conditions, from light breezes to full-on storms, including miniature foam windshields and furry windjammers. Some of our personal mic solutions are designed for use when the mic is mounted on top of clothing, while others are for use between layers, in which case extra protection is offered to minimise fabric rustle.
