Canon XA55

Properties:

The XA55 is a compact 4K camcorder of the XA series, which is equipped with a 1" CMOS sensor and a DIGIC DV6 image processor (YCC 4:2:0, 8-bit). The 4K image processor enables video output as MP4 or professional XF-AVC in 4K UHD with 25p or in high-quality Full HD with 25p, 50p or 50i through HD oversampling. The files are stored on up to two SD cards in the FAT32 / exFAT recording system. The XA55 has a fixed wide-angle lens with a focal length of 25.5 to 382.5 mm and 15x optical zoom at a light intensity of F2.8. Two 3-pin XLR inputs and a 3.5 mm mini jack input allow professional audio to be recorded at MP4 as MPEG-2 AAC-LC (16-bit, 2-ch) or LPCM (16-bit, 4-ch) and at XF-AVC as LPCM (24-bit, 4-ch). The HDMI mini jack (HDMI-C) can be used to transmit the recorded material directly to a playback device. The camcorder is powered either by the supplied battery (BP-820) or by the 3.4 mm jack socket. In addition, the XA55 has an infrared mode for low light shooting and a 5-axis optical image stabilizer. Compared to the XA50, the XA55 has an additional SDI output.
