The AK-UCU600 is a camera control unit (CCU) for uncompressed remote transmission of 4K / HD video signals over optical fiber. It was specially developed for the 4K studio camera AK-UC4000 by Panasonic. Remote transmission via optical fiber is possible up to 2 km away. The distance can be extended up to 10 km by providing a local power supply to the camera and using general purpose single mode fiber optics. Between the CCU and the ROP, in addition to a dedicated serial line, an IP connection via LAN cable is also supported.
