Properties:

The Blackmagic Design PYXIS 12K redefines cinematic quality and sets new standards in digital film production. Equipped with a high-resolution 12K full-frame RGBW sensor (12,288 x 8,040 pixels), an integrated optical low-pass filter, and a dynamic range of 16 stops, it delivers exceptional image quality with impressive detail and color depth. The active L-Mount allows flexible use of professional lenses, making this camera the ideal choice for high-end cinema, commercial, or documentary projects. The built-in 4-inch FullHD touchscreen with 1500 nits brightness ensures reliable image control – even in direct sunlight. The PYXIS 12K supports a wide range of resolutions and frame rates – from 12K open gate at 40 fps to 4K at an impressive 112 fps – and records simultaneously in Blackmagic RAW and H.264 proxy formats. Dual CFexpress slots offer high-speed internal storage, while external media can be easily connected via USB-C. With a native ISO of 800 and a flexible sensitivity range from ISO 200 to 3200, the camera performs excellently even in challenging lighting conditions. An integrated autofocus, available with compatible L-Mount lenses, supports dynamic and precise shooting. A true highlight is the built-in hardware streaming engine, which enables RTMP and SRT live streaming directly to platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, or X – either via Ethernet or through a connected 4G/5G smartphone. Comprehensive connectivity options such as 12G-SDI, USB-C, timecode/reference input, and a headphone jack round off the professional features. The well-thought-out ergonomic design of the PYXIS 12K ensures all essential controls are within easy reach. Additionally, the camera can be controlled via iPad, Bluetooth, or USB-PTP. With optional accessories like the Blackmagic Zoom Demand and Focus Demand, the camera can be precisely operated directly from the tripod handle – perfect for solo operators and ENG applications. The PYXIS 12K combines uncompromising image quality, versatile functionality, and modern connectivity in a rugged, production-ready design – ready to take on any challenge on set.
