It has a 3-pin XLR plug, a 3-pin XLR socket and enables the transmission of audio signals according to the AES3 standard. The CDMX 234 has an aluminium foil and a tinned copper braid (spiral shielding), each sheathing 2 cores of 7 tinned copper strands. The wire cross-section is 0.34 mm² each.
