The RED V-RAPTOR XL X 8K VV (V-Lock) is the latest member of the RED family and combines the advantages of the RED KOMODO and the RED V-RAPTOR. the advantages of the RED KOMODO and the RED V-RAPTOR. It has been specially developed for high-end productions and features the new RED 8K VV sensor and takes advantage of the benefits and flexibility of a large format camera with global shutter, high frame rates and 8K recordings. The camera impresses with a dynamic range of over 17 f-stops and high-speed sensor readout. This camera is particularly well equipped for shooting in low-light environments. Together with the new RED Global Vision Suite, a wide range of new functions are made available. Extended Highlights provide even more detail for HDR images and a softer light fall-off for SDR, Phantom Track optimizes the Virtual Produciton environment with the help of GhostFrame™ or frame remapping and the internal audio preamplifier has also been improved. The Dual Voltage Power System enables the use of high-voltage V-Lock and Gold Mount batteries. At the same time, operation with 14 V batteries is possible when the AUX power supply is deactivated. The RED V-RAPTOR XL X 8K VV can be combined with the DSMC3 RED Touch 7" LCD monitor, has a 3G-SDI and a 2-pin 12 V power connection. The fully integrated electronic ND system is particularly noteworthy. This system enables mechanical switching with a clear filter and control of the ND value in 1/4, 1/3 or full aperture steps from 2 to 7 f-stops (0.6 to 2.1). In addition, the RED V-RAPTOR XL X 8K VV offers functions such as Ambient Master Lockit for wireless and wired timecode/genlock synchronization, remote control, monitoring, in-camera Frame.io integration, direct AWS platform upload and RED Connect for live 8K R3D video over IP or live 4K over SMPTE ST 2110.
