Properties:
The FX6 is a professional 4K DCI full-frame camera with 35 mm Exmor R™ CMOS sensor and effective 10.2 megapixels. The 4K camcorder rounds off Sony's professional Cinema Line series at the bottom end, alongside the VENICE and FX9. The FX6 weighs only 890 g (body only) compared to the PXW-FX9, records on CFexpress Type A memory cards instead of XQD cards, features phase-detection AF with 627 points and real-time eye AF, and enables slow-motion recording in 4K UHD / QFHD at up to 120 fps and in Full HD at up to 240 fps. The FX6 also features the cinematic S-Cinetone™ colour technology known from the VENICE and FX9 for natural, soft skin tones and a unique film look. The camcorder has a built-in electronic ND filter from 1/4 ND to 1/128 ND and Dual Base ISO at ISO 800 / 12,800, which can be extended to ISO 409,600. Thus, the full-frame camera convinces with an outstanding image quality even in low-light conditions. The internal recording is in 4:2:2 10 bit as XAVC-Intra or XAVC-Long. Via the 12G-SDI output, 4K DCI / UHD video material can also be output as 16-bit RAW. For fast and professional workflows the FX6 supports S-Log3 / S-Gamut3 and S-Gamut3.Cine. The 4K camera is powered by a Li-Ion battery of the BP-U type, like the Sony BP-U70, or with 19.5 V via the DC power input.
