Properties:
The Sony PXW-Z200 is a compact handheld camcorder equipped with a multi-layer Exmor RS™ CMOS sensor type 1.0 with approximately 14.0 megapixels (effective) and a built-in lens with 20x optical zoom and an integrated image stabilizer. The "Clear Image Zoom" technology allows for an optical zoom of 24-480 mm (equivalent to 35mm full frame), with a 30x zoom achievable for 4K recordings and a 40x zoom for FullHD. The aperture ranges from F2.8 (wide) to F4.5 (telephoto). The Z200 supports the XAVC S-I format (from June 2025), providing 10-bit 4:2:2 recordings in the highest quality for 4K (QFHD) and is ideal for post-production. The camcorder features numerous connections, including 12G-SDI In/Out, TC In/Out for proxy recordings, HDMI (Type A), USB-C, LAN, and Remote Terminal for external devices. The camera is also compatible with the CBK-RPU7 remote production unit (sold separately), which allows high-quality transmission with low latency over SDI. WLAN integration with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz enables high-quality streaming via the Sony C3 Portal or XDCAM Pocket, supporting RTMP/RTMPS and SRT protocols. Remote control and signal monitoring are possible through the free Monitor&Control app. The camera features an automatic framing function that automatically tracks and keeps detected human subjects in focus. The PXW-Z200 impresses with its user-friendly handling, balanced weight distribution, and lightweight magnesium alloy body. It also includes a precise 3.5-inch LCD monitor and an OLED viewfinder of type 0.39, two independent rings for focus and zoom (aperture control available from June 2025), and two wheels for IRIS and ND variables. Additional features include an automatic ND function, two memory card slots for CFexpress Type A and SD, and support for up to 4-channel audio. The camera is equipped with an internal fan.
