The PDM 1383 is a versatile analogue audio embedder and de-embedder designed for a wide range of SDI video formats up to 3Gbit (1080p60). With support for analogue audio I/O via a 25-pin SubD connector, this module offers a reliable and flexible solution for professional audio and video applications. The module enables audio to be de-embedded from a selected audio group and, if necessary, replaced with new audio sources. Compatible with all common SDI video formats up to 3Gbit/s, including 1080p60. By cascading multiple modules, additional audio groups can be embedded or de-embedded. If no SDI input is present, the module generates a black video frame, allowing audio embedding even without a video source – ideal for audio-only applications. The embedder supports bidirectional audio transport and allows for quick and easy audio connection testing.
